Identity Weekend is an event specifically designed for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade preteens to dive deeper into what the Bible says about identity.
Our deep hope for Identity Weekend is to engage students with the truth of who they are in Christ right before they enter back into school in the Fall. We intentionally chose 4th, 5th, and 6th graders as the target audience as they are moving into a development phase of trying to discover who they are and what they believe about big topics. Our hope is that preteens will discover that identity is bestowed and that their identity is found in what Christ did, rather than what the world says they are. Our desire is for preteens to be equipped with this truth to be sent out to encourage one another as they encounter and engage in the 2022-2023 school year.
The cost per preteen is $35 per child and $25 per leader (leader cost covers background checks and abuse trainings).
Each church will be responsible for lodging and meals for their students.On Saturday each church will have a church time called Plug-N-Play in which the church schedules a fun activity for their group to participate in. Each session will have a small group component, that is designed to be led by the church group leader with their individual church group. Below is a list of Plug-N-Play Suggestion activities.

Event Details (some things are still being ironed out)
When: Friday, August 5th and Saturday, August 6th
Who: 4th, 5th , and 6th grade preteens
Where: Sessions are at Rock Hill Baptist Church, but churches choose their own sleeping arrangements for the night. (We are doing host homes broken up by age group and gender)
Weekend Schedule
Friday, August 5th
6:00 pm – Check-in and Registration
6:30 pm – Amp Up
7:00 pm – Session 1
8:30 pm – Small Group
9:15 pm – Dismiss
10 pm – Church Time
Saturday, August 6th
8:30 am – Amp Up
9:00 am – Session 2
10:00 am – Small Groups
10:30 am – Plug-n-Play
1:10 pm – Amp Up
1:30 pm – Final Session
2:30 pm – Final Small Group.
3:00 pm – Dismissal
*Amp Up – A time before the session with high energy games, dancing, and fun activities.
*Plug-N-Play- A church led activity that your group participates in together away from the host venue.
What to Bring
· Bible
· Journal, notepad, or something to take notes on
· Sleeping bag or blankets (depends on lodging)
· Pillow (depends on lodging)
· Towel
· Toiletry items (shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.)
· Deodorant
· Clothes (modest)
· A friend!!!
What NOT to Bring
· Any form of weapon
· A bad attitude
· An empty suitcase
· Homework (there is always Saturday night and Sunday for that)
· Cell Phone
